Creamy Paprika Steak Shells
A luxurious fusion dish that combines tender steak, smoky paprika, and creamy sauce in a pasta shell package. This recipe is impressive enough for a dinner party but approachable for a special weeknight meal.
Ingredients
For the Steak & Marinade:
· 1 lb (450g) flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
· 2 tsp smoked paprika (plus extra for garnish)
· 1 tsp sweet paprika
· 3 cloves garlic, minced
· 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
· 2 tbsp olive oil
· Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Creamy Paprika Sauce:
· 2 tbsp butter
· 1 medium shallot, finely diced
· 2 tsp smoked paprika
· 1 tsp sweet paprika
· 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
· 1 tbsp tomato paste
· 1 cup heavy cream
· 1/2 cup beef broth
· 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
· 2 oz cream cheese, softened
· Salt to taste
For the Assembly:
· 18-20 jumbo pasta shells
· 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
· 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, chopped
· 1 cup shredded Mozzarella or Gouda cheese
· Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
